FAQs

What can I expect from my first session?

Your first session is a gentle and collaborative conversation where I learn about what brought you here, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important to you right now. It’s also your opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether I’m the right fit for you.
If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we will identify your goals and create a therapy plan that supports clarity and direction, while still allowing flexibility as your needs evolve.

How is progress measured?

We’ll check in on your goals periodically, usually midway through therapy, to reflect on what’s improving, what feels stuck, and what might need adjusting. This structure provides guidance, but I also encourage open, ongoing communication. You’re welcome to share feedback at any point so we can make sure the process continues to feel right for you.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. Everything you share is confidential. The only exception is if I’m concerned about your safety or the safety of others, and in this case we would discuss the next steps together. I write brief notes after each session, which are securely stored in a confidential client management system.
